He has been interested in the business of buying and selling things all his life. As a child, Scott bought and sold collectible coins to his friends. Scott’s first job was in retail, and it was there that he learned the basics of cost of goods, retail pricing, and gross profit. With the little he knew, he tried his hand at selling framed and matted photography. Not really knowing what he was doing, he failed to make any real money. However, that did not deter him. Learning what he could in other retail, wholesale, and marketing careers, Scott struck out on his own to start and maintain several successful business enterprises. With an interest in the holistic business process, Scott decided to share that knowledge with those who want to get started but just do not know how. Scott’s goal is to help anyone who wants to take control of work life by being the boss of his or her business.
You say there is a sense of security working for someone else. This may be true, but for many it’s a temporary feeling. Scott was always the good and loyal employee. However, there were jobs that did not remain loyal to him. He endured times when his commissions were lowered to be fair to other employees. He was also laid off because his wage was higher than that of others. These instances helped Scott to grow into the entrepreneur he is today. Scott’s hope is to see you bypass negative career situations by helping you succeed in a business of your choosing.
When Scott is not mentoring or writing, his flexible schedule allows for hiking and adventuring around the world. His favorite places, though, are close to home in a mountain resort town of the Southwest US.
